ONLINE: I Was Made for Loving You | Rev. Dr. Jerry Troyer

As spiritual beings, the truth of us is that we are the essence, expression and experience of love. But the fact of us may appear as very different. What gets in the way? Our rules, our stories, and sometimes even our shadow.
We are invited, encouraged and even challenged to show up as love—what keeps us from doing that in every situation, and is there a way to return to love?
Rev. Dr. Jerry Troyer and his late husband found New Thought in 1992. He served as senior minister of the New Thought Center for Creative Living in San Diego from 2007 to 2016, and was ordained in 2009.
He holds a Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate from Emerson Theological Institute.
Rev. Dr. Jerry currently serves as Board President of the Affiliated New Thought Network (ANTN), a membership organization of Unity, New Thought, CSL and Divine Science centers and churches, as well as individuals.
Jerry is also a founding board member and currently Director of Relationship Development for Urban Street Angels, an organization in San Diego County that works to end youth homelessness by providing bridge housing, employment and life skills training to homeless transition age youth, ages 18 to 24. Last night, more than 180 homeless youth had a warm and safe place to sleep because of one of USA’s programs.
He is author of the acclaimed book, “Coming Out to Ourselves: Admitting, Accepting and Embracing Who We Truly Are.”
But Jerry is not serious all the time. He is a Disneyland annual passholder, and enjoys visiting several times a year with his partner, Oliver.
Rev. Dr. Jerry lives in the San Diego area with his English Cream Golden Retriever, “Maggie.” His son Brandon and family, including seven grandchildren, live in Oregon.
