IN PERSON & ONLINE: An Intimate Dance with your Shadow | Essy Freed
The struggle (your shadow) is within. You created it (the darkness) and you can uncreate it. Love yourself, yet be gentle yet firm as you refresh your life d into something more beautiful through understanding your shadow
Speaker’s Bio:

Essy Freed started attending the Atlanta Church of Religious Science in 1981, approximately 45 years ago. Rev. Kennedy Shultz was its founder and Minister. During her years at the Center, she became a practitioner and started the Care Ministry “TREATMENT” Team in 2003. This Team was comprised of ministers and practitioners. The Team provided treatment for many people in the areas of health, finance, and a plethora of issues. The Care Ministry continues to exist today.

In 2004/2005 Essy established the Care Ministry “VISITING” Team. The team was comprised of practitioners, ministers, and congregants, who would visit people that were ill, and provide them with comfort, food, companionship, transportation, and a host of other supportive services.

For several years, Essy was an SLCA in-house licensed therapist, along with her co-therapist, Ray McCants. She was on the Board of the Samaritan Ministry, where financial assistance was provided to those in need. She received awards for Practitioner of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, and for 20 years of exemplary service leading the Care Ministry Team.

Essy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Clinical Hypnotherapist. She has been practicing for 42 years and is the owner of the Hypnosis Center of Dunwoody. Essy has helped thousands of people throughout the years using psychotherapy and hypnosis.

Since 2023, Essy and her husband, Alton, have served as volunteers for the 11th Hour Squadron. A group of dedicated people, mostly veterans, who sit with people during end-of-life, ensuring no veteran dies alone.

Essy truly believes that if it wasn’t for Rev. Kennedy Shultz, and using the principles of Science of Mind, her career would have taken a different path. Thank G-d for SOM!
