Facing Fire? Be Water! Sunday Celebration

The new exclamation among teens regarding something that they once called awesome, is “that’s fire.” This time of year, we are facing sunny days with a fiery sun bearing down on our part of the planet. Fire is a basic element of life and is so recognized as such by earth people and first peoples on every continent. When faced with fiery situations, we look for intelligent and thoughtful ways to handle them. A profound word from nature guides us to “be water.” Nothing soothes and quenches fire as well or as quickly as water. How does this relate to our action, behavior, or spiritually guided choices? Sunday Celebrations are our weekly gatherings — a welcoming place (both virtual and in person) to meet positive people, enjoy uplifting music and participate in meditation and affirmative prayer. Each week’s lesson is focused on a positive, life affirming idea that will empower change in the lives of those who embrace it. All are welcome!
